General IPC reflective questions 

In the past 6 months has your aged care service: 

  • Reviewed National and State Guidance to check for any relevant changes? 
  • Reviewed your organisation’s aged care service infection prevention and control management plans?  
  • Reviewed your aged care service’s operational policies and procedures, making updates as required?  
  • Appointed an IPC Lead to support your infection prevention and control program?  
  • Conducted outbreak simulations to ensure that sufficient planning is in place, and you would have enough clinical, operational, management and human resources in the event of an outbreak?
